I've been looking for new lampshades for my bedside alabaster lamps for a while. Rather than replace the current shades, mother reminded me of how easy it was to use grosgrain ribbon to wrap around the shade. I was very lucky that she found some wide grey ribbon for me to use online- it was quite a steal as well- around $25 dollars for 50 yards of wide ribbon.
I was quite pleased with the turnout.
Supplies needed: Grosgrain ribbon, Scissors, Needle and Thread and clips to hold the ribbon on while you flip it over the shade.
